Kristin Burkart brings over 25 years of leadership experience to her role within the State of Wyoming, combining her financial expertise with a passion for organizational excellence and a deep commitment to public service.


As Chief Financial Officer of the Wyoming Department of Enterprise Technology Services, Kristin oversees strategic financial planning, budget management, and fiscal accountability, ensuring the agency’s resources are optimized to support its mission of delivering innovative technology solutions.


Kristin’s career is marked by impactful leadership roles across diverse state agencies. As CEO of the Wyoming Children's Society, she led a statewide adoption agency through transformative growth, strengthening community partnerships and enhancing organizational sustainability. Prior to that, she served as CFO of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, where she managed complex budgets, implemented effective financial controls, and improved operational efficiency. 

Earlier in her career, she was the Internal Audit Manager for the Wyoming Department of Transportation, where she championed financial integrity and led a high-performing team.

Known for her collaborative leadership style and dedication to continuous improvement, Kristin fosters a culture of innovation and empowers those around her.

As a certified Maxwell Leadership speaker and coach, she finds great fulfillment in mentoring others to develop their leadership, communication, and personal growth skills.
